So, you're going on a journey!

Unlike a hiking trip where you must carry all your worldly belongings on your back, a canoe trip allows you to take along many of the comforts of life. Like a folding chair, or a pillow. However, it’s not unlimited. You still must carry all your belongings in a canoe!

Don't Overpack

You don’t need to change your clothes everyday. There are no costume changes or formal events. You only need to be prepared for the weather.

PACKING LIST

The nights will be a pleasant mid-teen celsius and cool and damp in the early mornings. It’s safe to wear the same clothes everyday – nothing bad will happen.

You are looking at packoing for two. All of our (mine and Nici’s) clothes are packed into one barrel. All of our bedding in in the other. The yellow bag is our 4 Person tent.

We've got you covered

If you don’t have the right packs, we got you! It’s a very good idea to have all your clothes and bedding waterproofed. Any extra bags can be stashed in our 2 extra canoe packs – seen below.

You and your canoe partner should get all your stuff in in half the canoe. The other half is for the group.

The Group Gear

That’s right! There’s more. A lot more. This is the great part of canoeing and canoeing with a large group. All the toys come along. We have six canoes on this trip. One canoe will have three people, so just their personal gear. The other five boats will share the group gear.

Fuel. Cooking utensils. Stoves. Saw and ax. Water filtration. Tarps. First Aid. And sooooo much more.

And of course – the coolers.

Lots and lots of coolers. Mmmm food. Not just these ones. We will do a repack at the put-in before we start. No wasted space.

And a couple doggies!
