The Hape Breath

The Hapé Breath

Our breath is the energetic link between our mind, body, and spirit.

Thank you for joining me on this journey within.

We held the first Hapé Breath at 7:15am ET.  I know that wasn’t the best time for many people.  West Coast it was before dawn. Europe it was in the afternoon.  I use Hapé as part of my morning meditation ritual.  Often on the shore of Lake Ontario, immersed in the energy of nature.  As a Breathwork guide I will also use Hapé before a Breath class if I’m feeling ‘off’.

If you didn’t make the live Zoom call please review the Contraindications first.  Listen to your body. Find a safe and comfortable place.

If you are interested in doing more breath work of this style, check out my Stoic Breath page for the details.

Much Love

Steve

I advise against practicing this style of breathwork if you are dealing with any of the following:

•    Epilepsy
•    High blood pressure (in case of prescription medication)
•    Coronary heart disease (e.g. Angina Pectoris; Stable Angina)
•    A history of serious health issues like heart failure or stroke

If you are pregnant, I advise against practicing the full Stoic Breath. There are increased adrenaline levels associated with breath hold that may adversely affect the health of the baby. You can of course follow along to the meditation and be fully aware of your breath and body.

The Video & Audio:

What is The Stoic Breath?

In our busy lives we get stuck in mental muddle – dwelling in the past and worrying about the future.  Our busy brains are dominated by a maladaptive limbic system and we’re stuck in fight, flight, or freeze.  We grind away at our desks and our bodies are stiff and painful.  Our mind and body is unwell.  We are heavy with dis-ease.

Our breath is the energetic link between our mind, our body, and our spirit.

I have studied many different breath work modalities over the years. From ancients shamanic practices of India to the modern shaman Wim Hof, what was once grounded in mysticism is now understood by science.

In this 60 minute class you will learn to use your breath to achieve a deep state of meditation. Starting with a simple observation of your breath you will notice a shift away from the distractions of your mind and become aware of the subtle rhythms of your body – Breath, Heart, Life.

As you take control of your breath you will begin to unlock the power within you to reduce stress, boost creativity and physical performance, and observe a deeper level Self.

This streaming online class is best experienced with headphones on and, if possible, an eye mask. People new to breath work are encouraged to lay down while they breathe.
