Over time, we as humans have developed a different attitude towards nature and we’ve forgotten about our inner power. This is the ability of our body to adapt to extreme temperature and survive within our natural environment. The Wim Hof Method is based on this principle.
Because we wear clothes and artificially control the temperatures at home and at work, we’ve greatly reduced the natural stimulation of our bodies, atrophying the age-old mechanisms related to our survival and basic function. Because these deeper physiological layers are no longer triggered, our bodies are no longer in touch with this inner power. Your trainer, Steve Beattie, trained with Wim Hof at workshops and courses in Toronto, California, and Australia and is certified Wim Hof Method Level II Instructor.
Upon completion of the workshop, you will have all of the tools you need to receive the scientifically proven health benefits of the Wim Hof Method. The workshop will include a short lecture, with the majority of the workshop devoted to experiential learning so that you can develop your practice.

Toronto Meet Up!
I have been doing my own WHM practice on the shores of Lake Ontario since 2014. Back then I was the only one. Now our group has grown into a community. It’s amazing to see people taking control of their health and connecting to a natural way of life.
Our Saturday Meet Up is about community. Life long friendships have formed as we support each other in our journeys. It is not about breath hold competitions and suffer fests in the water.
I guide the first few rounds of breathing. Then I drop into my own practice as everyone explores their own rhythms and energy of their practice.
I often guide a meditation after the breathwork. But I also invite everyone to offer up their own energies: Guided meditation, movement, music, whatever it might be, we share our strenghts and gifts.
